Senior Account Manager

About the Role

Senior Account Manager is responsible for calling on enterprises in an assigned geographic territory while communicating our development framework’s advantages, features and benefits.  Our product, Qt, has been in the marketplace for 20 years and has an outstanding reputation and highly reference-able customer base.  You should be team-oriented and a dynamic, motivated sales professional, with the ability to manage a complex sales cycle.  You play a vital role in fostering the company’s reputation and image and are responsible for selling and promoting products in a highly professional, ethical and knowledgeable manner.


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Build relationships with C level Engineering management, Engineering Directors, Product Managers and Project Managers within technical development organizations, from large multi-national companies to small independent companies.
  • Use and document all sales activities in
  • Gain knowledge of development processes and understand policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and other technologies of the Company and its’ clients.
  • Develop sales territory plans.
  • Manage and control the sales cycle from prospecting through the close which includes presentations, proposals, contracting and implementation.
  • Business development to meet or exceed quarterly sales goals by increasing sales revenues.
  • Generate leads with existing and new contacts; networking and prospecting with new accounts as well as within the customer base.
  • Maintain and develop customers.
  • Submit sales forecasts and other administrative requirements in an accurate and timely fashion.

Your qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Prior sales of specified products is a plus, a can-do attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn are necessities
  • Excellent follow up skills
  • Highly organized
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience selling development tools, embedded technology or similar
  • Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
  • Consultative ‘questioning’ and Active Listening
  • Familiarity with OEM or Embedded Software is a plus
  • Progressive, enterprise sales experience with complex solutions
  • Track record of successful personal sales pipeline management and results
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Proven phone and in person presentation skills, as well as comfortable communication with all levels of management and employees.

Education and/or Experience: Technical Bachelor’s degree
